  • Joyce Erony Managing Partner Ms. Erony has more than 30 years experience as a principal in investing activities, business development and investment banking.  Prior to joining Majalin in 2015, she was a Managing Director at Signet Healthcare Partners, a growth capital healthcare fund in New York.  She is currently a Director of ImpoPharma, Icon BioSciences and the Kew Group and has been a Director of IGI Laboratories, Peak Surgical (acquired by Medtronic), Dow Pharma Sciences (acquired by Valeant), Anteis (acquired by Merz), Atlantis (acquired by AstraZeneca) and Control Delivery Systems (acquired by Psivida).

    Previously, Ms. Erony was a strategic advisor to Alcon Labs and a Managing Director at Citigroup responsible for the Bank’s activities in specialty pharmaceuticals and medical devices.  


  • Anders Hove, M.D., M.Sc., M.B.A.Managing PartnerAnders D. Hove joined Majalin in 2017. Anders was most recently a managing general partner at Venrock, a venture capital firm, which he joined in 2004 focusing on private and public biotech investments. In 2008, Anders founded Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, Venrock’s public fund focused on small capitalization biotech companies and late-stage private companies. From 1996 to 2003 he was a fund manager at BB Biotech, a multi-billion $ investment firm focused on public and private biotech investment, and from 2002 to 2003 he was also the Chief Executive Officer of Bellevue Asset Management AG, the manager of BB Biotech. Anders has completed numerous structured public investments, 22 investments in private biotech or medtech companies and has served on 19 Boards. 14 of his private investments have completed an IPO and 4 companies were acquired while private. Some of the private or small cap public investments which Anders led or provided substantial contributions to include Adnexus, Alexion, Anacor, Arena, Ascendis, Aviron, Biomarin, Coherus, Dyax, Edge, Eyetech, GW Pharma, Medimmune, Neurocrine, Peak Surgical, Radius, Stemline, Tesaro, The Medicines Company, Theravance, etc. Anders previously held senior level positions in the medical, clinical and business operations of the pharmaceuticals division of Ciba-Geigy. He is currently a member of the board of directors of a number of public and private companies.

    Anders received an M.Sc. in Biotechnology Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, an M.D. from the University of Copenhagen and an M.B.A. from INSEAD in France.  

  • Uya Chuluunbaatar, Ph.D.Vice PresidentDr. Chuluunbaatar is a Vice President at Amzak Health.  Prior to joining Amzak Health in 2015, she was an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, where she covered over 20 biotechnology companies.  In this role she helped initiate coverage of large and mid-cap biotechnology stocks, conducted due diligence and formulated healthcare investment theses.  Prior to Goldman Sachs, she held positions at the New York University Office of Industrial Liaison and at SwitchBiotics, Inc. In both roles, she was responsible for evaluating proprietary early-stage healthcare technologies for commercial development and licensing.
    Dr. Chuluunbaatar completed her Ph.D. in Microbiology at New York University School of Medicine, where she conducted research in virology and cell signaling.  Her work was published in several scientific, peer-reviewed journals, including Genes & Development and Journal of Virology.  She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Cornell University.  


  • Tom MillerAdvisory Board Member Mr. Miller is the Founder and Managing Partner of GreyBird Ventures, a life sciences consultancy and investment firm.  Mr. Miller previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Healthcare’s Customer Solutions Division, responsible for an organization of 26,000 employees in over 130 countries.  His other leadership roles at Siemens included serving as a member of the Group Board of Siemens Medical Solutions, as well as overseeing the company’s global MRI business.  In addition, Mr. Miller has served as the CEO for several other organizations, including Global Medical Operations of Carl Zeiss, Analogic Corporation and LightLab Imaging.  Mr. Miller is on the board of several life sciences companies including KEW Group, NinePoint Medical and VisionGate 3D. 

    Mr. Miller received his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and received his Masters of Science degree from the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology.

  • Jessica Turco EstusOffice Manager Ms. Estus joined Majalin as Office Manager in 2015.  She has over a decade of experience as an executive assistant and office manager in a variety of different fields. Prior to joining Majalin, she worked as an Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator at Korn Ferry where she covered real estate assignments.  Previously, Ms. Estus was an Executive Assistant at Harbinger Capital Partners and Och-Ziff Real Estate.  She started her career in higher education, working for the NYU Stern School of Business as Student Life Manager.

    Ms. Estus holds a B.A. in Marketing from Pace University, and a Master of Science in Human Resources Education from Fordham University.
